Women contract killers held in Bangalore

The Bangalore police arrested three women in their early twenties after their futile attempt to kill the wife of a real estate agent.

Police said the three women had allegedly entered into a contract with the real estate agent Prakash Kumar, 45, to eliminate his wife Anita.

Prakash Kumar had reportedly approached Nalini, one of the three arrested women, to kill his wife and paid Rs 200,000.

After receiving information from Prakash that his wife was alone in his house in Adarsha Nagar in Bangalore on Thursday, Nalini and her accomplices Meghana and Pallavi draped themselves in burqas and entered the house equipped with chilli powder and knives.

As soon as Anita opened the door, Nalini threw chilli powder on her face and attempted to stab her. Anita managed to push her away and escaped. Though Meghana and Pallavi fell down while trying to catch Anita.

Anita managed to escape the attack and ran out of the house screaming for help. Within seconds, passersby and neighbours caught hold of Nalini while her two accomplices escaped. However, the police traced Meghana and Pallavi later based on information provided by Nalini.

However, Anita’s husband Prakash Kumar is absconding and the police is on the look-out for him.

Police said Prakash had brought Nalini home two days before the attack and introduced her to his wife as a relative.
The police produced the three women before the court and obtained two days police custody to find out whether they were involved in any other crime.
